Meet Geo-Julie: The Heart Behind ECS Geothermal
Since 2017, Julie has been the driving force behind ECS Geothermal. Following the passing of her husband, Jim—ECS’s founder—Julie stepped into the role of President with a mission to not only preserve the legacy they built together, but to grow it. Under her leadership, ECS has more than doubled both its staff and customer base. Julie attributes this remarkable growth to the dedication and hard work of her exceptional team, who have helped make ECS Geothermal one of WaterFurnace’s top‑performing dealers year after year.
As a woman leading a business in a male‑dominated industry, Julie takes great pride in her role and in championing diversity within the geothermal and HVAC space.
You may have even heard Julie on the radio—she’s affectionately known as Geo‑Julie, sharing her passion for geothermal energy with listeners across the region.
Outside the office, Julie is a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan and proud season-ticket holder. She enjoys concerts, shopping, and relaxing weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks. Her son, Colby—now a Technician at ECS—recently married his high‑school sweetheart, and Julie delights in her new role as a mother‑in‑law, especially enjoying seeing Colby around the shop and the next generation growing within the company.
